At Landgoed Huize Bergen we see Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as an ongoing process, a journey without a final destination.

 With a Green Key Gold certification we demonstrate our commitment to sustainable business operations and creating a positive impact on people and the environment.

 We embrace every opportunity to shape our social responsibility and go beyond the standard. We strive for sustainability

Sustainability is a central theme within Landgoed Huize Bergen. In everything we do, we strive for environmentally friendly business operations that contribute to a better world.

 We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment at various levels, both with our employees, guests and suppliers. We believe that offering sustainable food and beverage products not only contributes to a better environment, but also to a healthier lifestyle.

 For example, we serve organic dairy products from Campina. Our vegetables and fruit are carefully selected based on organic and Fairtrade labels, such as Elstar apples and Conference pears. For wine lovers, we have chosen organic and Fairtrade wines, such as the Côtes du Rhône from Jean-Luc Colombo.

 In addition, we offer organic coffee and tea, including Woodcup coffee cups and Veine tea. We also use organic fruit juices and soft drinks from Oranka and select locally produced bread from regional suppliers to ensure freshness and quality. For our meat, we use the Better Life quality mark 1* or better. Furthermore, we consciously choose sustainable and local products to reduce our ecological footprint.

 We use RSPO-compliant palm oil. We save water with efficient taps and showers, use eco-friendly fire extinguishers, minimize plastic use, and choose sustainable cleaning products.

 We have our own herb garden and insect hotel, use sustainable printing and toilet paper and have sustainability declarations with our suppliers. We limit our energy consumption with LED lighting, build according to the Passive Building principle. Our energy is green and we provide charging points for electric vehicles.



 Thanks to our ongoing commitment to sustainability, Landgoed Huize Bergen has been the proud bearer of the Green Key Gold certificate for many years, a confirmation of our commitment to the environment and our responsibility as an organisation.
