Guest room 1

On this landing you will find the Guest Room(s). In the past, family members of the staff used these rooms when they wanted to stay on the estate.

The rooms are now used as offices by the current staff. Fun fact: note the wooden door handles. In this house, the rooms where the family stayed had copper door handles. The staff only got wooden door handles. Also look at the skylights above the landing; these allowed more daylight into the attic, and also into the storage attic, where the linen was dried. A few years ago, this floor was re-arranged; this can be seen on the floor plan on this page. The current room numbers no longer correspond to this floor plan. When the interior walls of De Dienstbode (No. 20) fell away, the rooms were re-numbered.
